(both Indeemo App/ In the Moment and Video Import projects)

We suggest bookmarking this page for really useful:

  1. Quick start prompting guides
  2. Detailed whiteboard tutorials

The AI View is split into 2:

1. On the right side is where you will see the list of responses

2. On the left side is where you will be inserting your prompts.

An important word and number to note on each upload 'Tokens'. Tokens are simply the language the AI breaks the text into in order to be able to analyse the data.

Please find more detailed information on Tokens and their importance here: Tokens

In order to help you stay within the Token limits, click on the 'Search Responses' button at the top of the right hand side section.

Submitting a prompt

Step 1: Filter/ Select Responses

Clicking on 'Select Responses'/ 'Modify Search' will open up the filters that you will be familiar with on the main Dashboard view, just shown in a different way.

  1. First, choose your project from the Project Filter.
  2. This will then allow you to filter by Task, Respondent etc.
  3. Click on 'Search'

To find out more on filtering, click on the following link (take note of filtering by task in particular!): Searching & Filtering

Don't forget to keep your search limited so you do not exceed the Token limits (see Tokens).

Step 2: Select all responses

Once you have filtered to the desired set of responses, select all of them.

This is like you telling the AI that these are the set of responses you want them to analyse.

Step 3: Write the prompt

Write in the prompt and click on 'Submit'.

This will then submit your prompt and yield a result such as the below - take note of the options available when you click on the 3 dots of every prompt.

Exporting/ Sharing Prompts & Results

To export/ share your prompts and results:

Step 1. Click on 'Search Prompts' on the top left of the AI View

Step 2. Select the criteria by which you want to search/ share and click on 'Search'

In the below example, I want to share all my prompts and results where Task 5 was included:

Step 3. This activates the 'Export' button:

Prompting FAQs

How do I keep within the token limits?

Please find a detailed explanation of tokens here: Tokens

If you exceed the token limits, when you submit the prompt, the AI View will return an error. In this case, simply reduce your search and repeat the prompt.

Can I prompt based on the previous result?

As part of being a closed and private model (meaning that none of the prompts and results are used for model or machine learning), it is not possible to prompt based on a previous result, for example, 'Based on the previous result...'.

However you can simply work around this by either:

1. Click on the 3 dots at the top right of the previous prompt and 'Repeat this Prompt'.

Change or iterate the prompt based on what you need the new result to be

OR

2. Copy the section of the previous result you are interested in exploring further and continue the prompt.

For example:
Prompt 1: Provide a list of recurring themes

Prompt 2: Provide a list of quotes with timestamps relating to the theme Impulse Buying

Open AI Error/ Exceed token limits

When you submit your prompt and exceed the OpenAI token limit, you will see an error like this:

To find more on token limits, click on the following link: Tokens

To resolve this error, you need to deselect some of the Responses which you attempted to prompt.

On the right hand side of the AI view, each Indeemo Response has a number of tokens displayed for both the Transcript and the OCR (if enabled).

To get past the OpenAI error, you should:

1. See how many tokens you need to reduce your prompt by and

2. Find the deselect the Response(s) on the right which reduce your total number of tokens

Once you deselect the number of Response, you can use the 3 dots at the top right of the failed prompt > Repeat this Prompt.

Once submitted, you will get a positive result.
