Sometimes you will require respondents to use the web version of Indeemo on their laptop/ desktop in order to record their screen for a task.


This works well when:

  • You want to give the choice of either using their mobile or desktop depending on what is most natural for the scenario.
  • You are recruiting specifically for projects were respondents using their laptop/ desktop is a requirement (this includes desktop screen recording)
  • You are recruiting for employee experience projects or C-Suite professionals


IMPORTANT! When respondents are not using the Indeemo app, notifications will be sent to respondents via email.

Onboarding respondents via their Browser/ Desktop

How to implement Desktop Screen Recording

IMPORTANT! Desktop screen recording can only be used on Google Chrome by installing a Chrome Plug In.


When giving respondents the option to record their desktop screen, it is essential that Respondents do a setup task first so they can ensure they have installed the plug in and the screen recording is working for them.


Add this below task to your Indeemo task list

  • If respondents are allowed to choose whether they use Mobile or Desktop screen recording, ensure to add this in the task below eg "If you would prefer to only use mobile screen recording, please upload a note saying 'Skip".

Task description

This project will require you to record your computer screen using Indeemo's Screen Recording Extension for certain tasks.


You will need:

  1. A computer/ laptop
  2. Stable internet connection
  3. Google Chrome
  4. A microphone either on your computer/laptop or headset connected. 


What is Indeemo’s Extension?

  • Record your screen and sound (please talk out loud while recording!)
  • Choose when to start and stop the recording
  • Review your recording before uploading it to Indeemo. 


Get set up:

  1. On your desktop computer/ laptop, go to Google Chrome. 
  2. Log into web.indeemo.com with your email and Indeemo Password. 
  3. Click ‘Task List’ ,then click on this task. 
  4. Click ‘Screen Recording’ at the New Response and follow the steps to install the Indeemo Extension.

Giving a respondent who is using the Indeemo App access to Indeemo on their Browser

Sometimes a respondent might ask to have access to Indeemo on their browser.

For example, in case there are any tasks they want to provide longer written answer to.


In those cases, you can provide them with the below:


Log into Indeemo on your computer

  1. On your computer, go to the website version of Indeemo: https://web.indeemo.com/
  2. Log in, using the same email and password you are using for the Indeemo mobile app
  3. Once logged in, go to the Task List

Please note that Indeemo is best viewed on Google Chrome.
