An Indeemo project is made of a combination of Target groups and Task Lists.
There are 2 key considerations to ensure a successful Indeemo project:
Spending time on this before you start will save time later and reduce the risk of needing to adjust things mid-study.
The relationship between Respondents, Target Groups & Task Lists
An Indeemo project is comprised of a series of target groups and task lists.
A target group is a sub-set of respondents that see one pre-defined task list.
A task list is a pre-defined set of tasks, with a pre-defined plan of how tasks will be released.
How many Target Groups and how many Task Lists?
Learn all about designing your task list here
This is based on whether you will need different segments of your respondents to
- See different tasks or
- Follow a different schedule
- Different languages.
If you are defining your Target Groups based on segment, we recommend applying your primary segmentation.
2-4 Target groups tends to be the ideal number.

Scenario 1:
One Task list:
All respondents in your project will see the same set of pre-defined tasks, released in the same way.
Target Groups: You can decide how you wish to segment your respondents- one group or multiple (we recommend max 3-4)).
Scenario 2:
Multiple task lists:
If you have different tasks or schedules for different respondents in your project, you will need a different task list for each variation.
Target Groups: You will need to set at least one target group for each variation of your task list.
Respondents
- Respondents can be added to only one target group.
- Respondents cannot be moved to a different group, once they have been invited.
